PE4332

Pulsed eddy current flaw detector

PE4332 pulsed eddy current flaw detector is designed to search for metal corrosion under insulation without its dismantling. The device provides the diagnostics of such objects as: insulated pipes, vertical and horizontal insulated tanks, oil platform supports and LNG tank supports, ship hulls, objects with thick paint or epoxy coating.

The device provides the diagnostics of such objects without preliminary surface preparation, without the need to remove and restore the insulation coating. Insulation can be made from any non-conductive coating such as: mineral wool, polyurethane, plastic, paint, air.

Galvanized steel or aluminum can be used as material for the insulation jacket.

Application of PE4332:

• Pipelines with thermal insulation, heating networks, oil pipelines, field pipelines
• Steel ship parts under a thick layer of paint
• Tanks and reservoirs with thermal insulation coating
• Oil platform supports and LNG tank supports

Enlarged color display protected by tempered impact-resistant glass

Bright display shows measured thickness, A-scan and C-scan

Range of measured thickness for steel: up to 60 mm

Measures the averaged metal thickness under the probe

Searching for general area corrosion and pitting corrosion...

...located both on the external and internal surface of metal!

The device is manufactured in a shockproof, waterproof case; it has a large bright display protected by tempered glass. The device has a removable battery.

The PE4332 is able to:
• detect corrosion under insulation;
• detect corrosion under fire protection;
• detect corrosion under any coating.

A special shoulder strap is used to carry the device.

The PE4332 measures the averaged metal thickness under the probe. It is suitable for searching for general area corrosion and pitting corrosion located both on the external and internal surface of metal.
